The Ōfuna Camp was an installation in Japan where high-value prisoner of war were incarcerated during World War II under conditions that violated the Geneva Convention. The inmates were not considered by the Japanese to be POWs, but "unarmed combatants". Among others, Louis Zamperini and Gregory Boyington were held there.
